When should I book my newborn session?

It is best to book while you are still pregnant. I only schedule a limited number of newborns each month to leave room for babies being born early or late. Booking early ensures a spot on my calender. However if you have just had your baby and would like to book, please contact me and I will do my best to fit you in.

When is the best age to photograph a newborn?

I typically photograph babies from 1-3 weeks old to ensure a nice sleepy baby, who is easy to pose. If your baby needs to spend time in the NICU and the session needs to be delayed, please do not worry. We can still capture beautiful newborn photos of your baby.

How do you schedule newborns since I don't know what day my baby will be born?

When you book a session, I will pencil you in on your due date and then I ask you to contact me as soon as you can after baby is born so we can arrange a day and time for your session.

Do you provide the props?

Yes! I provide everything needed for your newborn and sitter session! You just have to show up, and I’ll take care of the rest!

Where does the newborn session take place?

The newborn session takes place in my home studio in Guelph. I have comfy seating for parents and nursing pillows if you need it. Please feel free to have a seat and relax while you watch me pose your baby. This should be a relaxing, enjoyable experience for you! Most parents ooh and ahh as they see how adorable their baby looks in the sweet poses and hats/headbands etc.

What should I wear to my session?

Once you have booked a session, I will send a full information package with detailed instructions on how to prepare and what to wear.

Can I bring my own props?

Absolutely! It is definitely not necessary as I have lots. But if you have something sentimental or something you have purchased, you are welcome to bring it along. Just let me know at the beginning of your session.

When will I receive my images?

I typically have a very fast turn around! Usually you will have your proofing gallery in 1-2 business days and once you select your images, I will have them edited within a week.
